About Us
Where are you located?
We’re based at 190 Scudamore Road, Leicester, LE3 1UQ right next to RSPCA Woodside Animal Centre — where every visit helps rescue pets too!
How does my appointment help RSPCA Woodside?
Great question — and one we LOVE answering.
Every time you visit Barney & Bella, profits go back to RSPCA Woodside to support rescue animals. That means vet care, shelter, food, and love for cats and dogs who haven’t yet found their forever homes. You don’t need to do anything other than bring your per to us! It’s vet care that gives back.
How do I register my pet with you?
It’s super easy!
You can register by:

Appointments & Emergencies
Do you accept walk-ins or emergencies?
We work by appointment to make sure every pet gets the attention they deserve.
If your pet has an urgent problem, please call us first — we’ll do our best to help or direct you to emergency services if needed.
What’s your cancellation or no-show policy?
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Missed appointments without notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Payments & Insurance
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Yes, we do!
You pay us at the time of treatment, and we’ll help you submit a claim to your insurance provider.
Need help understanding how it works? We’re happy to explain.
Medications & Prescriptions
How do I request a prescription refill?
Just give us a call or drop us an email. Please allow 48 hours for processing.
Can I get my pet’s prescription filled elsewhere?
Absolutely!
We can issue a written prescription (an admin fee applies) so you can purchase your pet’s medication from a pharmacy of your choice.
Facilities & Services
Do you have separate areas for dogs and cats?
We sure do!
We have separate waiting areas and consultation rooms where possible to help keep all our patients calm and happy.
What services do you offer?
We provide full veterinary services including:
- Vaccinations
- Neutering
- Flea & worming treatments
- Dental care
- Surgery
- Diagnostics
- Health checks
- Pet Health Plan membership
And of course, plenty of friendly advice along the way!
Do you have a Pet Health Club?
Yes we do!
Our Pet Health Club makes it easy (and more affordable) to stay on top of routine care. It includes:
- Vaccinations
- Flea & worming treatments
- Health checks
- Member discounts
- And more!

What are your opening hours?
We’re open:
Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 6:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays: Closed
Appointments are available throughout the day — just get in touch to book.
Do you offer emergency or out-of-hours care?
We’re working on finalising our out of hours care arrangements to make sure your pet is supported whenever they need it — day or night.
Full details will be shared shortly, including who to contact and what to expect if you ever need emergency help outside our usual opening hours.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or need advice, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re always here to help.
Can I donate to RSPCA Woodside directly?
Absolutely! You can visit the RSPCA Woodside website to donate or support them in other ways. Or simply bring your pet to us — every appointment helps fund their amazing work.
What animals do you treat?
We treat cats, dogs, and small pets (like rabbits and guinea pigs). If you’re not sure whether we can help, just give us a call — if we can’t help directly, we’ll point you in the right direction.
Can I visit the practice before registering?
Of course! We love meeting new people (and pets!).
